Facebook’s Partnership With Skype To Deflect Google+ ?

Facebook has become more attractive nowadays with its new feature – video chatting. This is not something that is really shocking at all. In fact, it is even more surprising that this feature has just recently been introduced. Many have already predicted this feature to be available in Facebook and now it has finally happened.

Facebook has recently launched its new product which is video chatting. This has become possible through the partnership of Facebook and the equally popular online communication platform, Skype. Facebook contacts can now hear each other and actually see each other’s faces instead of just the ordinary chat.

Facebook’s new “awesome product” allows users to start using video chatting with just a single click. This is deemed particularly beneficial for the 750 million users of this social networking website.

Facebook Versus Google+

Google’s new product which is the Google+ has recently been launched. This is Google’s very own social networking venue. When Google+ was launched, it already featured the video chatting option called the “Hangouts”. This allows Google+ users to connect with each other. Most of the features of Google+ are similar to Facebook and the only one that sets it apart from Facebook is its video chatting capability. Google+’s only advantage over Facebook is already matched with the latter’s video chatting feature.

The news about Facebook’s new awesome product was announced a few days after the launch of Google+. Facebook’s founder and chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg has told some journalists who were touring Facebook office in Seattle that there will be an awesome product launch coming soon. And true enough, Facebook has launched the video calling only days after.

There are many speculations about how this video chatting feature of Facebook can greatly affect Google+. With the number of Facebook users, this social networking site can almost expect every feature it launches to be a big hit. It is just effortless for Facebook to be over its competitors considering what happened to Foursquare and Flickr. This is not hard to do because a large number of people still want to use Facebook because it is where their friends are. It is where their network is.

Facebook’s partnership with Skype is a very strong one that can actually become the internet’s ultimate social interaction service. Zuckerberg is very confident with this partnership as according to him, they have partnered with the best technology for video chat. However, even with this Facebook’s new video chatting feature, it’s still too early to judge if it will really see off Google+. Many people want to see how Google+ will rise to this occasion.
